Revisiting Link Building

I've just finished reading a good article by Eric Ward on the subject written fairly recently, Linking's Holy Grail: The Passively Obtained Backlink, http://www.ericward.com/articles/backlinks.htmlSadly, taking stock of my whereabouts in the seo cyber universe-- Technorati reports I have one link to my site.
